New Podcast Launch: Triple Captain

After the huge success of our original comedy podcast Dilemmas with Jess and our health and fitness podcast A Girl & A Gay In The Gym, we’re delighted to announce that Sound Rebel is launching its first sports podcast with Triple Captain launching on Thursday 8th August!

Triple Captain is a fantasy football podcast featuring full-time Hollyoaks actor and (nearly) full-time fantasy football manager Luke Jerdy and talkSPORT commentator Rich Wolfenden. Luke and Rich will release a new episode every week in enough time before the weekend’s football kicks off so listeners can take in their advice and tweak their fantasy teams accordingly. The aim of the podcast is simple… Luke and Rich want to get you to the top of your mini league!

The Fantasy Premier League game is growing every year with 7 million players expected to play the game in the 2019/2020 football season. Whilst Rich is new to FPL, Luke has been playing for years and last year finished in the hallowed “Top 10K” (the best 10,000 players in the world) – so Triple Captain won’t just give expert advice on the teams and players in form from a footballing perspective, but tips and tricks on how to get the most out of the game itself too.

Triple Captain will also feature FPL-playing guests throughout the season with Toby Tarrant from Radio X, Adam Wilbourn from WhatCulture, Jordan North from BBC Radio 1, Caroline Barker from Sky Sports and BBC Radio 5 Live, Lloyd Griffith from Soccer AM, Pete Donaldson from the Football Ramble all lined up to appear on the podcast between now and Christmas.

Triple Captain will be recorded remotely with Luke in Liverpool and Rich in London which fits with their busy schedules – and, of course, remote podcast recording also means we can invite guests on to the podcast from anywhere as FPL grows in popularity in every country in the world!

If you’re playing FPL this year, Luke and Rich have already released three season preview episodes focussed on which defenders, midfielders and attackers you should be spending your £100 million on which is available to listen to now. You can follow Triple Captain on Instagram and Twitter - @TripleCaptain3!
