New Podcast Launch: Dilemmas with Jess Ellis

We are delighted to announce that Jess Ellis has joined Sound Rebel with a new original podcast production called Dilemmas with Jess Ellis, which is available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and all other major podcast apps!

Jess is an actor who has spent the last five years playing Tegan Lomax in Channel 4’s tea-time soap opera, Hollyoaks. Jess faced a dilemma in her own life: “Tegan was unfortunately… Well… Squashed to death by a tree in a big, scary storm,” said Jess. “I faced a dilemma… What should I do with my life next?”

Jess had thought about presenting a podcast for a long time because she wanted to show her online audience the person behind the character they knew from the television. She’d started to develop this through her social media channels but understood that podcasts offered her the opportunity to create something larger and showcase her talent as a presenter as well as an actor – a route that she wanted to explore further now she wasn’t tied in to a contract.

The first series of Dilemmas is packed with great guests, including Daisy Wood-Davis, Andy Ellis and Thomas Turgoose from the cultural phenomenon This Is England, Kieron Richardson, Duncan James, Jo Russell (from Jess’ favourite podcast I Secretly Recorded My Boyfriend), Jake Quickenden, Tamara Wall, Luke Jerdy and Jonny Bongo from Bongo’s Bingo.

Jess sits down with her guests in her front room in Liverpool with a G&T in one hand and her Instagram inbox in the other to talk through her listeners’ real-life problems. If you’ve got a dilemma that you’d like to hear discussed on the podcast, slide in to Jess’ direct messages now - @DilemmasJess on Instagram!
