New Podcast Launch: Give Me Some Good News

With the UK and the majority of the rest of the world now in lockdown, it feels as if we all need a little bit of light relief at the moment. Therefore, Sound Rebel is delighted to announce the launch of our latest original podcast production – Give Me Some Good News with stand-up comedian, Nathan Caton!

Nathan recently featured as a guest on our fantasy football podcast Triple Captain and as soon as we met him, we knew that we wanted to devise a format that put him front and centre as the lead presenter.

Nathan started on the comedy circuit when he was 19 years old, and over the last decade he has established himself as both a circuit headliner and as a name on both television and radio. He’s appeared on Live at The Apollo, Mock The Week, Soccer AM, Fighting Talk, BBC Radio 4’s News Quiz, Russell Howard’s Good News and his own Comedy Central production, The Nathan Caton Show.

The podcast will feature Radio X presenter Rich Wolfenden as Nathan’s regular co-host, and will feature some of the biggest names in UK comedy. So far guests for the series include Jason Manford, Russell Kane, Jo Caulfield, Joe Lycett, Ed Gamble, Richard Herring, Jayde Adams, Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Dane Baptiste.

Give Me Some Good News has one aim – to remind everyone that the world isn’t all bad, and that there still is some good news out there. “In a world full of doom and gloom, we just want to cheer everybody up,” says Nathan. “This podcast tries to bring some optimism and positivity to your life in this negative vacuum we happen to find ourselves living in at the moment.”

Initially, Nathan and Rich will release a new episode every single weekday whilst the UK is in lockdown. As well as asking their guests to bring them some good news stories, the team would love to hear from you too – let them know your good news at soundrebel.co.uk/goodnews!
