New Podcast Launch: The FPS Podcast

Sound Rebel are excited to announce a new podcast production for the Federation of Piling Specialists, with the FPS Podcast launching on Monday 18th May!

The Federation of Piling Specialists is an active federation of geotechnical contractors dedicated to improving standards, safety, working conditions and commercial practices within the piling sector of the construction industry. They also actively engage with their supply chain through their associate membership scheme to develop strong partnerships.

We have created a format that engages both the core membership of the FPS but also their associate members by regularly featuring interviews with high-profile members of the piling industry to offer new insights and inspiration to listeners.

The broad nature of the format allows the FPS to showcase some of the piling industry’s most interesting case studies as a way of engaging engineering graduates with the sector, and to use the podcast to highlight other activities happening within the FPS (such as upcoming webinars and the activities of their Early Careers Group).

We are delighted to be working with the FPS on their latest project, and believe it will be a huge success. Educational podcasts are growing hugely in popularity, with many businesses and organisations understanding the depth of content that a podcast can provide. Like many sectors of the construction industry, piling specialists spend a lot of time on the road so it’s an additional benefit that FPS listeners can consume the content provided whilst travelling.

The FPS Podcast also highlights a personal success for the host of the podcast, the new FPS Chair, Steve Hadley. When Steve took on the role, he booked some media training with our sister company, The Media Insiders:

“I’d been on a podcast as a guest and I was quite nervous, particularly when it came to dealing with sensitive issues,” said Steve. “The subsequent media training with The Media Insiders gave me the confidence to speak coherently. The role play sessions, the feedback and tactics they provided me with enabled me to present the best version of myself in future media opportunities.”

We are delighted that the training has given Steve the confidence to now act as the main presenter on the FPS Podcast, and are very much looking forward to its launch on Monday.

If you would like to start a podcast for your organisation, we’d love to hear from you – please email hello@soundrebel.co.uk. Please also visit themediainsiders.co.uk to find out more about how media training could help you to become a more confident speaker.
